D-LINK DSL-502T CONFIGURATION FOR DATAONE BROADBAND

Recently we got one more internet connection from BSNL. Since we already had a D-Link modem, we opted not to get any modem from BSNL.

When we got the connection, BSNL staff refused to configure my modem stating that they are not aware of how to do so. After searching over internet, I found a solution which worked for me. Here it is:

Good one.. Hope you’d posted it a couple of weeks earlier.. I also took a BSNL connection at home.. and my bro eventhough is studying BE is technically challenged when it comes to hardware..

I read some reviews on the internet for 502T.. Most of them mentioned that BSNL does not help itself onto this router.. and eventually asked him to buy a 802C (shelling out atleast 500 bucks more :( )

The BSNL so called engineers refused to configure it and demanded my bro to buy a router from them for their support.. later, i had to dig out some manuals for the 802C and support him over phone to configure it.. Wonder complaining it to the higher officials help in any way..

  2. Yeah happens. May be these people are not so technically oriented/strong to do such things. People should know these things. What if you and I had no idea about configuration? We would hv bought a new modem for no reason… generating more e-waste.
