When was Google Maps updated for Bangalore?

When I started my K2K trip, I could not locate my house on the satellite imagery of google maps. Now after four months, I can see it. Google has updated its imagery somewhere between May and July 2008.

So, how old is the imagery for Bangalore?

I am using NICE road as the guide post. If you look at NICE road and presence of my house, the imagery must be an year old. This is my guess.NICE road is still not a part of ‘Street Map’ of Bangalore.

Please don’t design any development policies around this data and later on blame me for any inaccuracies :)

    Sharad – although this may not be the reason for what you have seen with your house on google map…
    see the below wiki approach Google has introduced for maps in India…with activists like you :-) , the maps should get much better..
